AAR was founded by members Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler in 1999. The band initially consisted of them and two other unseen members, Jesse Tabish until 2000, and Tim Campbell until 2002. Mike Kennerty was the third addition, and Campbell was later replaced by Chris Gaylor in early 2002.

The band released their first studio album together in October of 2002, with their self titled record The All-American Rejects. Since then, the band has released 3 other studio albums & multiple singles and EPs. They are still together and touring as of 2026.

Tyson Ritter!!
DOB: 4/24/84, Stillwater OK
perhaps the most recognizable…Ty is the lead singer and bassist of the band. He has the most public recognition so he's somewhat the face of the band. He's also the baby of the band though, funnily enough. He has an older brother and a younger sister. He is currently married to a Georgian-American actress named Elena Satine, and has been since 2013. The two welcomed a child in 2020 :^). He has also starred in a few films and shows himself. YES he has OnlyFans.

Nick Wheeler!!
DOB: 3/20/82, Stillwater OK
Secondary founder of AAR…Nick is the band's lead guitarist and often does back-up vocals alongside Tyson. He's got a sister named Jennifer (look her up...). He used to have a Boston Terrier named Dexter who'd he often take on tours. He has an affinity for muppets and slept with Cookie Monster plushies on their tour bus :-) He is not currently married, although he did have a girlfriend named Cheyenne back in the early 2010s. (I am unsure if they are still together.) He runs a studio station in Nashville by the name of Wheelhouse Studios.

Chris Gaylor!!
DOB: 4/11/79, Edmond OK
probably our quietest member…Chris is the drummer of AAR. He seems to be pretty secluded, as he doesn't have any socials, and would often sit to the side during interviews. He is most recognizable by his ear gauges :p plus he's the only blondie in the group. He's got an older sister apparently. Unc of the rejects. He had white people dreads in 2017 💔. He is not currently married, but he does have a cat named Merlin! (who, unlike him, does have an Insta. Here it is)

Mike Kennerty!!
DOB: 7/20/80, Houston TX
silly boy silly...Mike is the rhythm guitarist, and occasionally has collective background vocals as well. Almost as quiet as Chris but will talk your ear off if spoken to. He's the youngest of a brother and sister. Quite known for the way he tweaks about on stage. Like literally its insane he hasn't fallen off yet. I give credit to his punk background. He's genuinely never not smiling. Fandom Wiki says he likes cheese, Dr. Pepper, and Taco Bell. (Also ALSO unmarried). Oh, and he's done work with Ben Weasel too! (So did Chris.)

I think it should be known that Tyson and Nick met each other at a party in a local college bar called Mike's in middle school. Anyway 13 yr old Ty was watching the door and--I assume--got bored and went in. Inside is where he saw a 15 yr old Nick playing the drums (not the guitar!) onstage with his little cover band and Tyson was like "oh shit, I gotta do that." And upon seeing that Nick's band had no bassist, he was like "I'll play bass." So after getting a bass for Christmas and being taught how to actually play it through Nick, they both started playing gigs and writing their own stuff with some dude name Jesse Tabish (Nick's OG band had since dropped out by now). Aside, Chris and Mike had played together in a punk band called Mr. Crispy. I don't have much info on how or when Mike and Chris met, but it's safe to assume they met each other through a mutual band. After Mr. Crispy, Mike went off to play for this band called Euclid Crash, whom ended up doing a show with Tyson and Nick (Jesse was also gone by this point.)After this, when Nick and Ty began to actually get signed onto labels after producing "Same Girl, New Songs", they figured they needed more members that weren't just them. They were still in contact with Mike from their collab with Euclid Crash, and ended up recruiting him as a secondary guitarist. Once Nick got to stop playing drums, he moved to solely guitar and had a guy named Tim Campbell play drums. Following some disagreements, Mike recommended they add Chris, who was the last added member to the band.A small timeline of the band members goes:
1999 - 2000: Tyson, Nick, Jesse Tabish. | 2001-2002: Tyson, Nick, Mike, Tim Campbell. | 2002/3-present: Tyson, Nick, Mike, Chris.
Some additional members of the band who toured and worked with extra sound such as piano includes: Tim Jordan (keyboardist, piano, backing vocals, percussion, rhythm guitar, in 2005, who sadly passed the same year.) | Nick Foxer (keyboardist, piano, backing vocals, rhythm guitarist, in 2006) | Butch Walker (Bass, backing vocals, in 2006) | Kevin "Toad" Saulnier (keyboardist, backing vocals, rhythm guitar, percussion, from 2006 to 2011) | Matt Rubano (Bass, backing vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar from 2011 to 2016) | Sebastian Tenorio-Vallejo (keyboards, piano, bass, rhythm guitar, saxophone, percussion, backing vocals, currently working since 2024.)

The All-American Rejects, released 2002, was the band's (legitimate) debut album. Some notable songs from this album include Swing, Swing and My Paper Heart ^ _ ^

Move Along, released 2005, was the band's second album. Some notable songs from this album include Move Along and Dirty Little Secret

When the World Comes Down, released 2008, was the band's third album. It carries the crown of AAR's most popular song, Gives You Hell, which reached No. 4 on the Hot 100 a few weeks after it's release. It managed to gain the title of the No. 1 most played song of 2009.

Kids in the Street, released 2011, was the band's fourth album. Their last full studio album, it is recognized most for the songs Beekeeper's Daughter and the title song, Kids in the Street.

AAR continued to release EPs and singles such as There's a Place (2015), Sweat (2017), Send Her to Heaven (2019), Me vs. The World (2020), a Flagpole Sitta cover in (2024), and their current release Sandbox, which debuted back in April 2025. Their most recent song on Sandbox is Get This, which released just last December.

The bands first record of having composed an album is the Rejects' unofficially titled Blue Album (originally named The All-American Rejects, though changed by 2002 because of the official self titled album.) It included Jesse Tabish as lead vocals and guitar, Tyson on bass and secondary vocals, and Nick on drums.

here's the full album on YouTube!

The CD was edited, mastered, and produced by Nick, alongside the photography of the covers. The demo was finished in 2000. Very few have been released commercially, if I assume right, but people have reportedly found a few at their local thrift stores and stuff.

this is just a random assortment of things i like of them. mostly videos to youtube. ones in bold are VITAL to see
